About Our Board:
The Greater Greenville MHC board is made up of residents of the counties we serve. The members are to serve as the voice of the community.
Board members are responsible for the long- and short-range planning, goal setting and evaluation of the center and ensure that the center focuses on its mission. They are not involved in the day-to-day operations of the center, including patient care, human resources, etc., and do not have access to patient information. They are volunteers, not employees of the center.
As advisors, the board’s primary responsibility is to work with the center director, staff and patients, to ensure that Greater Greenville MHC provides quality care and treatment. They do so by reviewing services and reporting findings and recommendations to the center director and the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Office of Mental Health (BHDD OMH), recruiting and promoting financial support for the center from local private sources, advising the director on policies to enhance effective community relations and reviewing the center’s annual plan and budget and making recommendations related to it to the center and the BHDD OMH.
