The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD OIDD), formerly the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, provides services to children and adults with severe, lifelong disabilities.
 

About Our Headquarters 

As of June 2025, BHDD OIDD headquarters are co-located at the State of South Carolina Health Campus with the South Carolina Department of Public Health, allowing for closer collaboration between the two cabinet agencies. The state’s health campus is located at 400 Otarre Parkway in Cayce.
 

Services Are Not Affected by the Headquarters Relocation.

BHDD OIDD does not provide direct services at the State of South Carolina Health Campus.
