The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Office of Substance Use Services (BHDD OSUS), formerly the Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services, is charged with ensuring quality services to prevent or reduce the negative consequences of substance use and addictions through a statewide system of local organizations that provide prevention, treatment and recovery services.
 

About Our Headquarters 

As of June 2025, BHDD OSUS headquarters are co-located at the State of South Carolina Health Campus with the South Carolina Department of Public Health, allowing for closer collaboration between the two cabinet agencies. The state’s health campus is located at 400 Otarre Parkway in Cayce.
 

Services Are Not Affected by the Relocation.

BHDD OSUS does not provide direct services at the State of South Carolina Health Campus.
