DDSN Announces Newly Appointed Officers to the Commission for Disabilities and Special Needs

DDSN is pleased to announce the following changes to leadership of the Commission for Disabilities and Special Needs, effective immediately following their June 15, 2023, meeting:
• Commissioner Eddie Miller has been elected Commission Chairman
• Commissioner Michelle Woodhead has been elected Commission Vice Chairman
• Commissioner Gary Kocher, M.D. has been elected Commission Secretary
We congratulate these commissioners on their newly elected positions and thank those who previously served in these roles. We look forward to working with them as we continue efforts to make DDSN as strong and effective as it’s ever been!
DDSN is the state agency that plans, develops, coordinates and funds services for residents with various severe, lifelong disabilities. Populations served include individuals with traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord injuries, autism spectrum disorder, and intellectual disabilities. For more information, click here.

The ID/RD waiver is operated by the South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD-OIDD). The MCC waiver is operated by SCDHHS.
