Suicide Prevention Photo Campaign: #YouAreNotAloneSC

This September, we invite you to join our Suicide Prevention Photo Campaign to share messages of hope and connection.

Over the next couple of weeks, BHDD’s Suicide Prevention Team is asking coworkers, friends, families, and community partners to share photos of themselves holding a #YouAreNotAloneSC sign, or short videos (five seconds or less) sharing what gives them hope. We’ll compile the entries into a video shared on social media at the end of the month.

This year's campaign features artwork created by an individual at the South Carolina Department of Corrections. Featuring a ship and a life preserver on the open ocean, it's a reminder that support can come from unexpected places, and that reaching out can make all the difference. BHDD thanks the artist and the Department of Corrections for sharing this inspiring design.

To take part, submit your photo or video to Sarah Boler at sarah.boler@omh.bhdd.sc.gov by Friday, September 25. Campaign materials, including the printable #YouAreNotAloneSC graphics and photo release form, are below. You must submit a signed release form so we can share your message. Please feel free to pass this information along to anyone in your network who'd like to join!
