Child, Adolescent, and Family services (CAF) provides an array of mental and behavioral health services to children and their families within their communities when needed. CAF staff work to ensure families are equal partners in the decision-making processes that affect their children. Family participation is an essential component of treatment and recovery. CAF’s goal is to build a seamless service delivery system for the children and families of South Carolina. CAF provides or links families to critically needed services in home, school, and community settings. CAF utilizes a wraparound model of service delivery by partnering with sister agencies to provide needed services.

Our Treatment Process and Approach
BHDD Office of Mental Health offers evidence-based mental health treatment for children and adolescents through innovative clinical programs, individual and family counseling, telehealth and community based wrap/support services. Our team works to support your child in a wide variety of settings so that mental health challenges are addressed consistently and at a wide variety of levels.

Family ServicesFamily therapy and parental support is an essential part of BHDD Office of Mental Health’s treatment services for children and adolescents. Our experienced team of therapists works closely with the family through family therapy sessions, education and ongoing consultations so that you are an essential part of the treatment process. On-Site School CounselingOur team of school counselors work in the schools so that mental health issues may be addressed real-time. In addition, children are able to be seen during the school day, which is a significant benefit for busy families. Teachers are also able to consult with counselors should they have questions or need support. |
