Day Connection Series

When:

July 28, 2026
from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Location: Online

Have you ever thought...

  • What kind of meaningful activities should I do?
  • What will I do if the person doesn't want to do anything?
  • What if the person isn't able to work yet?
  • How do I find opportunities for people to be part of the community?

Join OIDD in the July Connection Series - Thinking Outside of the Box. Attendees will participate in an interactive webinar to discuss thinking outside of the box and gaining ideas from staff from other day programs around the state. This fully interactive meeting will start with introductions of the panel team and then we will create four virtual rooms where you can ask questions to gain ideas from the people you support! Topics for discussion can be about assessment, creating goals, and activities that reflect working on the goals. We would love for you to bring a situation where you might need some ideas!

July's Connection Series will be facilitated by Sharonica Knotts, Matt Whelan with Disabilities Board of Charleston County, Lakeila Jeter with Charles Lea Center, and Tara Glenn with Pathwise. We are so grateful for these subject matter experts to share their experience and knowledge with us!

July's Connection Series is intended for Day Program Supervisors and anyone working directly with a person. Registration to receive the TEAMS link is required. Certificates of Attendance will be shared with all who attend; cameras must be on in order to receive a Certificate of Attendance. This webinar will not be recorded.
